Last Thursday we had the pleasure to stop in at one of Denver’s many versatile art galleries, Spectra Art Space, for an intimate dance party with the always fun and original, AHEE. The goof-ball, “Alien Fish” producer completed his two-date Colorado run, which sits smack in the middle of his Ghost Angel Tour consisting of at least 16 stops across the country. With direct support from Colorado-based AVRY, Braxx, Hansel The General, and LowPro. with the late night finish, the night rounded out as yet another home-run for the teams at Belly First & Potent Productions.

The intimate, Spectra Art Space provides a fantastic venue space in a setting of beautiful and custom art curated by owners Sadie and Kayla. The music and art accompany each other extremely well, leaving you unsure of whether you’re at a gig or an art installation but 100% sure you’re having a great time. It’s low-pressure, not over-done, and should absolutely NOT be slept on if you see the name on another event ticket.

AVRY, of Potent Productions, had a special surprise up his sleeve as he invited his special guest and friend, MIDIcinal onstage for a surprise B2B. This really got the crowd going, especially when they dropped their remix and collaboration of the old school classic, “Mambo #5.”

The late night set was owned by LowPro. also of Potent Productions. We’ve been following this unique artist for a while now and plan to bring you more in-depth coverage on his custom visual/soundboard. Basically, he’s able to control not only his music (of course) during his set but also all of his own visual graphics… AT THE SAME TIME. It’s groundbreaking stuff, no doubt. For now, you can catch him and his interactive visual workshop set up every Wednesday at Cervantes’ The Other Side for the weekly installment of, “Re:Search Wednesday” and a little bird told us LowPro. will bring his workshop to the SharedViews booth space at this year's installment of Sonic Bloom, June 20th-23rd in Southern Colorado.
