Dark Palace - Get Ready For Meow Wolf's Denver Precursor And Three-Day Festival!

Are you ready? I don’t think you’re ready...in just two weeks Meow Wolf is hosting a one of a kind event right here in Denver. Dark Palace is being described as a dance obscura, where the music, art, 3-D visuals, and live performers are all blurred together to create an enveloping experience. Spanning over the course of three days, Dark Palace is set up in the same fashion as many music festivals. There is an amazing stack of lineups each day of the weekend and an impressive amount of artistic engineers.

A Quick Recap From Sonic Blossom 2019 At Cervantes Last Week!

The weekend before Halloween is always crawling with fun events, inviting creative ensembles and vibrant dispositions. Sonic Blossom was no exception and despite there being such a wide array of things to do, the venues were packed out! Jumping back and forth from The Ballroom to The Other Side, I was like a musical chameleon that molded it’s dance moves to the current beat. A smash from start to finish; there were so many acts to see and even with hours to kill, it wasn’t enough to catch em all. Some incredible performances were headed by The Librarian, Jamie Janover, SpoonBill, Bluetech and DynoHunter.

They say patience is a virtue, but we all know it’s one of the hardest things to implement into our lives. That being said, what is the longest thing you’ve ever had to wait for, willingly or not? In my case, as well as thousands of duteous fans, it was the highly anticipated Tool album...13 long years we patiently waited. Rumors had circulated more than once that it might never happen. However, I like to think that Maynard and the rest of Tool’s members had cultivated their masterful vision for Fear Inoculum long, long ago.

After over a year of diligent work and experimentation, LowPro. Just released his newest EP entitled Expansive. This project is a result of Soren Peterson's meticulous attention to detail, wherein he spent immense amounts of time honing in how to compile the right immersive sounds into just a few songs. The EP consists of four tracks and finishes at just over fifteen minutes, however, within that time the listener is transported into a different dimension. When I spoke to LowPro. Sonic Bloom 2019 is in the books and intimate does not even come close to describing the energy of this big-time festival. The eclectic creativity that resonated throughout the festival continues to linger with me even over a week after the event! Nestled in a valley at the base of a breathtaking mountain range, the campgrounds on Hummingbird Ranch were ideal for a weekend getaway. Festival-goers filtered in throughout the day on Thursday, posting their tents and slathering on sunscreen, preparing for the excitement to come.
