A Look Back: Bass Physics Show At Cervantes PLUS Behind The Scenes With Cofresi

Saturday night turned into one big joint-effort between Megan Hamilton, Cofresi and Bass Physics. You don’t always get to see all the artists on a lineup participate in one another’s sets, but Cervantes is a venue where the evening spread is set up family style. The camaraderie between all the performers was certainly apparent, going on and off stage to jam out with one another all throughout the night. Despite it being a busy festival season, everyone came prepared to deliver brand new music and the crowd ate it up, always leaving room for more.

Though new to Colorado, Compound Sound has been a spot for beloved friends & family to gather for about a decade. “This started as a grassroots thing, just a group of friends on a piece of private property playing music together. No promotion, no sponsors, none of that.” Nicole Fagan, Street Team Manager told us.

RE:Visit - HUCCI, Great Dane, & More Plus Catch Up With AVRY Before Next Week

Some places just resonate familial interactions, where you can go time and time again knowing you will see friendly faces, as well as meet new people. Cervantes’ is that place for Denver locals, a safe space to hang out with like-minded individuals and hear good music on any given night of the week. Whether it’s the Masterpiece Ballroom or The Other Side, you can bet that there will be an artist or group that you would rather not miss. RE:Search Wednesdays are an exceptional night at Cervantes because the lineups always include local household names, as well as more prominent and recognizable artists. Many people that I’ve talked to during RE:Search nights come on a near-weekly basis even if they don’t know the artists because they can hang out, dance, enjoy the silent disco and more than likely leave with new artists to throw on their playlists.

Catch Up With Bass Physics Before His Denver Throw Down w/ Cofresi And Megan Hamilton This Saturday

Denver is never short of exciting shows coming down the pipeline, but some tend to stand out more than others. To me, Bass Physics, Cofresi, and Megan Hamilton this Saturday represent such a show. I was excited as soon as I saw the three names on the same flyer a couple of months ago. The insanely talented, drumming machine known as Cofresi has been high on my list since I saw him in New Orleans a couple of years ago. I’ve always wanted to see him in Denver. Megan Hamilton rounded out my top 3 favorite sets at Sonic Bloom this year. And as for Bass Physics, y’all probably already know what’s exciting about Bass Physics, but in case you don’t keep reading cause we caught up with him about what he’s been working on, ways he thinks we can all help save the world, and exactly why his manager told us to expect an, “incredibly immersive, over-the-top experience” this Saturday with Rubikz Visuals and 303 Lasers both on the ticket

Arise Playlist is Here: Our Favorite Picks of the Weekend

It has now been a few days since Arise Music Festival in Loveland, Colorado wrapped up and we are so excited to share some of our favorite artists of the weekend with you. Arise had a diverse lineup of musicians, artists, performers, workshops, food and events to choose from. Paul Bassis, co-founder of Arise, frequently reiterated that the festival was created to be so much more than a platform for music; as he put it, “Arise is a movement of people and everyone who attends is a part of that movement. It is a collaborative effort and the music becomes the core, like a fire we can all gather around.” Over the course of the seven years Arise has been in operation, it has become the largest camping festival in Colorado and the lineup gets stronger every year. Here are some of the artists we talked to while at the festival and a few tracks from each of them.
